In this issue... JN CONJUNCTION WITH OUR SEMINARS & EDUCATION Opportunities theme this issue, we bring you an interview with one of the profession's most respected seminar speakers. Dr. Dan Murphy. I had the pleasure of hearing Dr. Murphy speak at a Future Perfect Seminar in Washington, DC, a few years ago, and I'm not joking when I tell you that the doctors 1 was sitting with and I all wanted to follow Dr. Murphy around afterwards just so we could copy his eating habits. He really knows how to get his message across and instill a desire for changing your own habits—at least I know that's the impact he had on me. Ever since that seminar, I won't touch any "instant" or pre-packaged foods for fear of going crazy with Alzheimer's or schizophrenia in my old age. Seriously though, if you get the chance to hear Dr. Murphy speak on any topic, I highly recommend it! See our interview with Dr. Dan Murphy beginning on page 12. And, of course, to help you plan for your seminar attendance in the upcoming months, beginning on page 26 is our 21"' Annual Seminar Planning Handbook broken down into categories such as Associations, Diagnostics & Technique, Examination & Documentation, Nutrition, Pediatric Conferences, Post-graduate, Practice Management, Rehabilitation, Sports Injury and more. Be sure to look it over right away and hold on to it for your reference through the beginning months of 2005! In the area of technique. Dr. Lucy Upledger shares with you some background information on CranioSacral Therapy (CST) as well as conditions that respond well to it. Our interest in CST became heightened when we noticed that Drs. John & Lucy Upledger definitely have a mission to spread their technique globally. TAOs offices are located in the Republic of Panama, and we've been seeing a lot in the local newspapers about the CST technique each time they visit here for another seminar. This technique is quickly spanning the globe so find out what it's about on page 24. In adjunctive therapy, you'll definitely want to read Dr. Jay Kennedy's article on page 34, "A Primer on Decompression," in which he explains why over 40% of doctors who buy a decompression unit end up buying a second one within the first year. Plus, Dr. Kennedy shares other helpful tips and personal experiences he's had with using this highly effective and successful adjunct in his own practice. Finally, as in every issue, you're certain to enjoy this issue's Million Dollar Chiropractic interview with California chiropractor Dr. Paul Pugsley. And for extra "Practice Management Tips," be sure to check out Dr. Mark Sanna's column on page 46, along with the "Practice Management in Brief bits from our new "TAC Advisors" column on page 44, featuring Dr. Daniel Dahan and Dr. Eric Plasker. As always, there's much more for you to read and benefit from, so go ahead! And let us know what you think! Keep up the great work! For chiropractic.
