Restoring Digestion

We have come to understand that being healthy is defined as not having symptoms. However, the truth is that health is dependent on being structurally aligned, nutritionally balanced, and managing our emotional stress well. When our stress levels are high or we do not deal with them properly, our body becomes out of balance. How does our body deal with stress? The only way the body knows how—it requires more energy.
The most common complaint or symptom doctors hear is about lack of adequate energy or fatigue—the inability to meet daily requirements. "I'm under a lot of stress at work (or at home)." If we had adequate energy, though, we wouldn't feel stressed.
The body needs energy for three separate and distinct purposes:
• First, the brain needs energy to keep us alert and so we can think clearly. It also needs energy to keep our ten organ systems working properly.
• Next, the organ systems need energy to meet the demands placed on them and to respond to signals from the brain properly.
• Last, and often forgotten, is our ability to move around. Gravity is never turned off (even when we lie down) and the body constantly needs energy to oppose it.
Think of your energy like money because nobody has an unlimited supply of either. When one of the previously mentioned three areas is demanding more energy than its share, it has to borrow from the other two, which eventually causes symptoms such as perpetual subluxations as well as stiffness and tension in the neck and between the shoulder blades. Your patients also may start to complain about digestion difficulties,
hypoglycemia, heartburn, indigestion, bloating, gas, constipation or diarrhea, and headaches.
You can adjust for these symptoms and rehab them as much as you want. The mechanical approach is only going to be a temporary fix. Exhausted organs and systems cause involuntary muscle contractions in the spine. This is how a subluxation can cause a problem or effect nutritional imbalances.
To correct the patient's condition and restore digestion, better management of stress is vital. It doesn't need to be eliminated because it is hard to eradicate stress completely. Supporting better management of stress, in combination with adjustments and specific enzyme nutrition, can be a superior protocol for improved results with your patients.
Enzyme nutrition to support the digestive system, the sympathetic nervous system, and the adrenals can easily help restore the imbalance and help your patients feel better.
