A significant shift in the perception of the chiropractic profession by the public has become more prominent, because of the achievements of chiropractors treating athletes. Recreational and professional sports are important influencers in society, and it has long been well known, that chiropractic can have positive effects on performance and recovery. Now, before you start screaming, “where is the evidence for that statement?” I’d like you to read a feature article, written by Dr. David Perrine, about the Professional Baseball Chiropractic Society (PBCS), beginning on page 10, to leam what this society has been able to achieve in the decade since its formation, and how you can participate with some of these experts, to share in their success.

Also in this issue, are articles on the important topic of cash practice. Poignant advice from the very well travelled Ray Foxworth, DC, FICC, MCS-P, advises you, “Don’t Put All Your Eggs in One Basket”, on page 24, while Kathy Mills Chang, MCS-P, and Yvette Noel, CPCO, would like to help you answer the question, “Can I Really be a Cash Practice,” on page 28.

This issue is being mailed along with The Chiropractic Assistant Magazine, which you’ll find in the center of the magazine. Tear this out, and pass it around to your CAs. Your CA is invaluable to your growth as a chiropractor, and we have gathered a great team to help you grow the talents of your teammates.

Be sure to revalidate your address on our website at the theamericanchiropractor.com/subscribe. so that you don’t miss an issue.

Keep up the great work!
