Tracy's Tips

Dear CAs,

We’re coming into fall already!

This is a great time to hone your skills, as we close out the year. The Chiropractic Assistant is your first step, to make sure you are fully informed on ways you can improve, and support the clinic where you work.

First, in the “The Best Kept Secret about Hormones” article by Keith Giaquinto, DC, on page 4, we are reminded of the important role that hormone balance plays. When the hormones are out of state, many things are disturbed. Don’t miss this article to increase your knowledge of the value of keeping homeostasis in the body.

Next, Kristi Hudson’s article, on page 8, “The Art of Communicating with Unhappy Patients,” points out that the most important part in having a happy patient relationship, is to LISTEN to your patients. This article offers many other valuable tips to make you well-liked and appreciated, thus increasing the comfortable patient atmosphere that you strive for in your chiropractic office. Remember, you are the first person that the chiropractic patient meets when entering your office, and often, you will be the LAST person the patient sees, so this article is a must read!

Finally, in Kathy Mills Chang's article, on page 6, “How CAs Contribute to Practice Efficiency,” you will get a great outline and some very valuable tips for knowing and understanding your job and becoming familiar with what is expected of you, and, therefore methods to improve.

Remember, we are always here to support you and offer tips for improvement. Join our Facebook page at: The Chiropractic Assistant Magazine to keep in touch between our bi-monthly mailings!
