IN THIS ISSUE.... I t's our annual Table issue! Let's face it, as a chi-ropractor you have to think about your chiropractic table(s) at least once a year, so let's make this the time to do it! Whether you're just starting up your practice and want the best deal on a table, or you're ready to treat yourself to one of the high-end (finest, most impressive, high-tech) chiropractic tables with all of the bells and whistles, this issue has something for you! Be sure to check out our Table Shopping Spree article beginning on page 28 in which we show you some of the best tables (and best deals) along with pricing information, so all you have to do is decide which one is best for you! You can also find a fun interview this month from the creator of the first motorized flexion/distraction table, Dr. Leander Eckard on page 26. Dr. Eckard is a living legend in the profession. With over forty years in chiropractic, he's still actively adjusting fellow chiropractors at many of the major chiropractic seminars throughout the year. And, taking the table topic to another level, we're including an emphasis this issue on the decompression tables that are getting a lot of attention. Our cover story this month features our very own Dr. Richard E. Busch III, who has been utilizing the decompression technology in his clinic successfully for the past ten years. His sole practitioner practice currently utilizes six decompression tables! Many of you may know that these tables are anything but cheap, and the description as a "table" is somewhat misleading because you'd never mistake one of these babies for an adjusting table. Dr. Busch, former President of The American Chiropractor, was introduced to this technology early on in his career, and we're proud that his endeavors with decompression will help to establish protocols for patient treatment that had not been previously established. No matter the size of your office, with the right protocol, both your patients and your practice will benefit greatly by the addition of this technology! Find out how in our interview with Dr. Busch, beginning on page 34. We've got lots more by our columnists, too, so read cover to cover and let us know what you like the most! And a big THANKS to those of you who call just to tell us how much you love reading TAC—it makes our day and makes us want to do even more for you! So here's a tip in case you missed it. We're offering a FREE Portable Table to those readers who fill out our Reader's Service Action Card and mail it back to us. This card, located between pages 52 and 53 in this issue, allows you to get free information from our advertisers (plus it makes us look even better when you buy from our advertisers andtell them you saw their ad in TAC). We'll be picking the winner of the Portable Table soon, so be sure to fill out your card and send it in to qualify. On a final note, wanted to let you know that TACs seminar, CHIROPRACTIC '07, took place this past February here in Panama! We had over 200 of our best chiropractic friends and guests here in town—what a week! We'll give you a full recap in next month's issue. In the meantime, mark your calendars to attend CHIROPRACTIC '08 February 20-23rd, 2008, with Plus Seminars February 24th-26th, 2008. Until then, keep up the great work! For chiropractic, Jaclyn Busch Touzard, BA President
