NUTRITION & DIETS

The founder of chiropractic, D.D. Palmer, stated that there was a "triad of disease causation: trauma, poisons and autosuggestion." Chiropractic, while always strongly emphasizing the primacy of the adjustment in our endeavors to assist the body in healing itself, has strong historical roots for recognizing the import of sunlight, fresh air day and night, proper diet, adequate exercise and rest, and proper hygiene. Today, as our diets are so far from "proper", and lives far from natural and "restful", many of us recommend dietary supplements to help support: • the healing of macro and micro trauma; • detoxification and digestive/elimination; • deep sleep, relaxation and hormonal balance; • healthier cardiovascular function; • balanced, complete nutrition. In addition to getting the best and longest lasting results in the shortest time, some level of nutritional support is a must for the DC who wishes to build a true "wellness lifestyle" practice.
