LIFE UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCES DR. GUY RIEKEMAN AS CHANCELLOR AND DR. ROB SCOTT AS PRESIDENT
Life University announces the naming of Dr. Guy Riekeman as Chancellor of Life University, as well as to announce the appointment of Dr. Rob Scott as the fifth President of Life University, both effective immediately.
This change of organizational structure marks the next phase of LIFE'S 20/20 strategic plan, which began in 2006 and has thus far consisted of growing the University's degree programs, enhancing campus culture and transforming LIFE'S working environment into an atmosphere of service.
Dr. Scott has served at Life University for more than a decade, coming to Life University in 2005 as the Dean of the College of Chiropractic before moving to Vice Provost, executive leadership roles in Academic Affairs and most recently serving as Provost. He has also worked as the Dean
of Chiropractic at Northwestern Health Sciences University and as the Vice President for Academic Affairs at Logan College of Chiropractic.
Dr. Scott holds a Ph D. in Applied Physiology from the University of Minnesota, a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University and is also a Diplomate of Chiropractic Philosophical Standards. His master's degrees include a Master's of Science in Exercise Physiology and a Master's of Education in Educational Administration. He attended the University of Guelph to earn his Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics.
After earning his Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1972, Dr. Riekeman became a very successful chiropractor and businessman, creating companies and seminar programs dedicated to educating the public about chiropractic care and how to facilitate personal growth, live with integrity, and achieve optimum performance. He has worked in higher education as a philosophy instructor, Vice President of Sherman College of Chiropractic, and as Chancellor of Palmer College of Chiropractic, before becoming the fourth president of Life University in 2004. kfiSSI
