Dr. Craig S. Little, D.C., President of the Board of Directors Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE) Responds: The comments suggesting that a chiropractic program removed a college president, "out of fear of the CCE", is not supported by history northe mission and purpose of the Council on Chiro- practic Education. The CCE is an autonomous national organization that seeks to insure the quality of chiropractic education in the United States by means of accreditation, educational improvement and providing public information. Accreditation is based solely on compliance with the Standards for Doctor of Chiropractic Programs. Regardless of who is appointed President by a chiropractic program's Board of Trustee's, the CCE validates the requirements for accreditation, demonstrating its awareness of the importance of these requirements to the profession and to the public that the profession serves. The CCE does not seek to define or support any philosophy regarding the practice of chiropractic nor are the CCE Standards intended to support or accommodate any philosophical position. These are the responsibility of the profession and each educational doctor of chiropractic program.
