Welcome back! This issue, we lead off with Dr. Mark Studin and Dr. Bill Owens presenting part IV of their series focusing on the vertebral subluxation complex. Recent evidence is proving the hypomobile/ hypermobile approach that chiropractors have used for years as justification for treatment of specific segments, to achieve spinal health. Read more about this development, and what it means to the impact of your care on page 12.

The competitive landscape of healthcare management has led many chiropractors to change how they interact with their patients, not only in the treatment room, but also at the front desk. As the covered services by insurance carriers have diminished, chiropractors are forced to be more agile in how they work with broader groups of patients . Dr. Ray Foxworth has an option for you to consider on page 22, in the article “The Importance of Diversity in Today’s Chiropractic Office.”

Further, Nancy Singleton has used this evolving healthcare landscape as an opportunity to create an entirely new brand of practice, which is congruent with the role chiropractic can play in the lives of patients that are interested in true wellnessbased care. Read the renaissance she has discovered on page 36, in the article “Cash is King: Why Implementing a Cash Payment System is Essential.”

There s plenty of great topics covered from the front cover to the yellow page, so as always, read this one cover to cover!

Be sure to pass on The Chiropractic Assistant to your CA, for shared stories from other CA’s, DC's and health experts to yours!

Keep up the great work!
