It’s a new year! 2015, what a great time to be alive, and practicing chiropractic! From a practice management standpoint, there have been plenty of new developments with the rollout of Obamacare, and even the delay of implementing the ICD-10 standard for insurance billing in Medicare, which now appears

to be scheduled to take effect this year. Miles Bodzin, D.C. believes that with these changes come big opportunities. Use this market environment to go cash, and take away the stresses of filling out the old insurance forms. Fhp to page 42 to learn about Dr. Bodzin’s vision.

On the topic of Obamacare, Keith Overland, D.C. makes a return trip to our magazine to layout the current landscape in Washington D.C., following the recent shift in the balance of power, as sweeping Republican victories on Election Day have resulted in their control ofboth the House ofRepresentatives and the Senate. Flip to page 56 to leam more of his perspective on how this may affect chiropractic, and other health professions.

You may have noticed the mention of a scope challenge in the state of Wisconsin on the cover. We at The American Chiropractor have, for the sake of complete transparency, decided to cany the letter written by Dr. Rod Lefler, current president of the Wisconsin Chiropractic Association (WCA), explaining the position being taken by the WCA, to open discussion on the topic. It has been clear that there ar e passionate debates for and against this type of movement. If you have an opinion on it, I think you will find the thoughtfulness that has gone into this endeavor encouraging. Fhp to page 18 now to read what Dr. Lefler has to say.

Let us know what you think! It IS an interesting time to be a chiropractor, or any health care provider for that matter, in the USA! Email us at [email protected] and let us know what you think!
