Legendary Chiropractor Chester Wilk passed away on April 22, 2022, at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois. Dr. Wilk spearheaded a massive lawsuit on behalf of the chiropractic profession confronting the American Medical Association and recounted the experience in his book, Medicine, Monopolies, and Malice. He explained the 17-year legal battle that ultimately led to a judge acknowledging the American Medical Association had worked to undermine the chiropractic profession by limiting access to hospital privileges for chiropractors. The court proceedings revealed the AMA had even petitioned insurance companies to deny reimbursement. Consequently, the judge required the American Medical Association to stop the conspiracy to contain and eliminate the chiropractic profession.

Dr. Wilk continued to be involved in the chiropractic profession and would regularly call to discuss the current state of affairs in the world and the deep concern he had that the United States's leadership was on the wrong path. His energy was contagious. He is survived by his daughters Cathy Beryl and Cynthia Issues and has four grandchildren.
