From the Director’s Desk
Patients of chiropractic care swear by the change in quality of life that they experience after entering into sustained chiropractic care. In this month’s In Brief column, Dr. William Owens has identified one study that begins to work to prove that this relationship exists. Flip to page 20 now to “Chiropractic Care and Quality of Life Diagnosis & Management of Nonspecific Spine Pain.”
Next, on page 22, we catch up with the President of the NBCE, Dr. Karlos Baghosian. Read “NBCE: 60 Years of Excellence Rooted in a Higher Purpose.” This organization has been the source of important firsts in the profession, and created the framework for unifying many of the tests that students have to pass prior to receiving state licensure. Read on to relive this journey, and to see where Dr. Baghosian says they are heading.
Then on page 38, Holly Jensen writes “Are High Deductibles Preventing Patients from Utilizing Your Care?” As chiropractors interested in delivering the greatest gift we can give to humanity in the form of health, there are always obstacles to patients entering into care. Holly has identified some great approaches that will help your patients not only enter into care, but to follow through with their care plan to receive optimal health.
This issue has shaped up to be a collectors’ item, so after you’re done reading from cover to cover, be sure to save it, so you can re-read in the future. Also, don’t forget to go online at www.theamericanchiropractor.com to update your subscription.
Thanks for all you do, and see you next month!
