In this issue... I t's our February issue already! January has flown by like a breeze with half of the TAC staff at the anĀnual Parker Seminar in Las Vegas in mid-January. It's always exciting to see our readers in person, this year it was especially gratifying for us to have passers by glimpse our latest issues with Dr. Brimhall and Dr. Swenson on the cover and sweep them up with excitement! Your response to our new columns and monthly format has been overwhelmingly supportive. I think our new rehab columnists, Drs. Roger Coleman and Steve Troyanovich, sum up much of the philosophy and altitude we at TAC share in our ongoing commitment to provide you with the best editorial possible. In essence, learning should be fun, simple, interacĀtive, well researched, serious, easy to use and more! Be sure to read their 8 points in "A Discussion with Old Friends" on page 48, and let us know what you think! With this being our annual practice management issue, we, once again, bring you expert advice from 10 of the profession's best practice management consultants to help you "Create the Practice You've Always Wanted" on page 20. Coinciding with the still New Year, the resounding message in each of the 10 tips is "Change". Which means, if you read this article and don't walk away making some changes within yourself and/or your practice procedures, then you're not taking the action steps necessary to get closer to the "Practice You've Always Wanted". As to technique in this issue, after receiving a phone call from a distraught parent who's daughter's health was being threatened by a severe case of scoliosis, we, at TAC, began to realize the lack of doctors who specialize in the proper treatment of advanced scoliosis. To help correct this problem, we tracked down Dr. Dennis Woggon, who shares his Scoliosis Correction technique, on page 54. Also on technique this issue, on page 52, Dr. Paul Yanick, describes his Pre-Adjustment Technique to Fully Activate Innate and De-Stress the body. To arm you with the best research supporting chiropractic, research "junkie", Dr. Dan Murphy, heads up our "Research Review" column on page 18. This column is geared to provide you with the best research that currently exists in support of chiropractic care. This issue. Dr. Murphy's column features research that shows chiropractic care is number one in treating chronic back pain. This is probably no surprise to you, but you'll want to be sure to make your patients aware of this important study. Finally, a quick update on Dr. Eric Kaplan's condition is that he and his wife Bonnie continue to improve in their recovery from a freak Botox turned to Botulism poisoning. At the time I'm writing this, they currently have an interview which is scheduled to appear on Primetime Live either Feb 3"' or the I O'h to help educate others to make sure no one else falls victim to the same circumstance. Please continue to keep them in your prayers. Jaclyn Busch Touzard Executive Editor [email protected] Keep up the great work! For chiropractic.
