How Chiropractic Can Best Seize the Solution
July 1 2022 Frank KingHow Chiropractic Can Best Seize the Solution
July 1 2022 Frank KingChiropractic and homeopathy are the two most powerful solutions to correct underlying causes of pain that I have found in more than 40 years as an integrative practitioner. Why? Because both address the underlying causes of pain.
The chiropractor who implements a full armamentarium of solutions to awaken the body’s ability to heal will rise and rule with faster and better results.
Allopathic drugs are suppressive; homeopathy is expressive. We all know what happens when we suppress; we send the problem deeper, and it becomes a more serious problem later in life. That is why we need chiropractic and homeopathy more than ever.
Studies of healthcare expenditures show that the rates of pain-related surgeries, injections, and narcotic pain medications have reached an all-time high in the past 20 years. At the same time, applications for pain-related disability are also at an all-time high.1 Obviously, these procedures and therapies don’t work so well.
Toxic Addictive and Suppressive Pain Drugs Are More Serious Than Realized
The CDC recently reported that drug overdose deaths in the U.S. jumped to a record 29%, an increase reflecting the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, the nation’s opioid crisis, and the alarming spread of fentanyl. Opioids are now the leading cause of death for people under 50.2
At least 175 million adults in the U.S. take OTC painkillers, and recent studies have cast serious doubt on their effectiveness and safety. Taking NSAIDs to prevent heart disease significantly increases the risk of side effects, and it did not reduce the risk of cardiovascular events (JAMA 2014;312:2510-20). The FDA found evidence of “dangerous bleeding into the brain or stomach” but no evidence of prevention of heart disease.
COX-2 inhibitors (Celebrex) not only failed to solve the NSAID ulcer problem (JAMA 2001;286:2398400), they more than doubled the risk of heart attack, stroke, or angina, compared to the old NSAIDs (JAMA 2001;286:954-9). The FDA has now strengthened its label warnings that non-aspirin NSAIDs increase the risk of heart attack and stroke. (FDA Safety Announcement 7-92015). Ibuprofen increases the risk of major coronary events by a significant 222%.
Acetaminophen is so toxic to the liver that it has become the leading cause of acute liver failure (Hepatology 2005;42:1364-72). Even short-term use of acetaminophen taken at the maximum recommended daily dose stresses the liver (JAMA 2006;296:87-93). The study also concluded that acetaminophen dulls your emotions. (Psychological Science 2015;26:750-8).
Tylenol is the first-choice pain medication for pregnant women, and more than half of pregnant women in the U.S. use it. An important new study has raised concern over risks to children whose mothers use Tylenol while pregnant. It showed that there were behavior problems in their children at seven years old. Use of acetaminophen showed a 42% risk for conduct problems, 31% increased risk of hyperactivity, and a 29% greater chance of their children suffering from emotional problems. These children have difficulty with aggression, dishonesty, delinquency, defiance, and disruptive behaviors. (JAMA Pediatr 2016;doi: 10.1001/jamapediatrics.2016.1775).
Hering’s Law of Cure
The medical profession ridiculed and persecuted the founder of homeopathy, Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, with many of the same biases we still hear today (relating to both homeopathy and chiropractic). “That’s impossible. There’s nothing there. It can’t work.”
Dr. Hahnemann replied, “Sapere aude,” which is Latin for “dare to know,” “dare to learn,” and, “dare to try.” In other words, don’t close your mind and mimic others in saying it doesn’t work without trying it and seeing the proof for yourself.
Dr. Constantine Hering (1800-1880) was tasked with discrediting Dr. Hahnemann’s work and proving him wrong. Instead, Dr. Hering was quickly cured of his longstanding health problem by homeopathic medicine. He became an advocate for homeopathy and brought the knowledge to the U.S. in the 1830s.
He originated the now-famous principle Hering’s Law of Cure, which states that the body heals first from the inside out, from the head down, and in the reverse order that symptoms appeared or were suppressed.
In chiropractic, you may recognize Hering’s Law of Cure by a different name — retracing. The body adjusts to true healing by gradually releasing longstanding injuries and deeply held trauma and toxins. These releases during the natural healing process may be physical (i.e., pain, degeneration from injuries to the body) and emotional.
Chiropractic, homeopathy, and acupuncture all work to bring balance within the energetic control networks like the nervous system. We have observed for over 40 years how homeopathy not only provided fast, lasting relief by correcting recurring subluxations and aberrant reflex anomalies, as well as equipped the chiropractor with faster, more effective, and longer-lasting results.
In summary, homeopathy empowers the chiropractor with a greater armamentarium of results to correct the causes behind pain by deeply correcting nerve interferences throughout the whole nervous system in places where the hands of the chiropractor cannot reach. With chiropractic and homeopathy, you can be the doctor of the whole nervous system and get whole-person results.
I encourage you to sapere aude\ Dare to try.
