The Top Ten Reasons Why Haters Are Good for Business
By Dr. Kimberly Thor-Adams
It is true. Haters are good for business! So many chiropractors are hesitant or even fearful of being truly authentic in practice and in daily life because of what others may think. Some say that they are concerned about what their friends may think, what their family would say, or how a patient may react.
Well, I am here to tell you that you do your best work when you are your best authentic self. As chiropractors, we lay hands on others to allow their bodies an opportunity to heal. These hands function best when the chiropractor is confident and congruent.
If you are choosing natural health options for you and your family but don’t express that belief in your practice, shame on you. When your own child gets “sick” or has a “fever,” what do you do? Do you adjust them often? I hope so. You should offer the same advice to your patients.
Following are the top ten reasons why haters are good for business:
Your name is said aloud, increasing exposure and advertising.
Haters who like and comment online increase your visibility.
You then get an opportunity to educate others.
Your passion can be ignited and increased.
The strength of your convictions is tested and then increased.
You won’t suffer from boredom.
Haters show you how loud you are, which should increase confidence.
Conversation stimulates emotion in others, making them more alive.
Conversation stimulates thought in others.
Haters are simply helping you tell more people.
We have a limited number of moments on this planet, and we need to use them wisely. We must use them to make the biggest impact on health possible, whichever direction you see that pathway. So, squash that fear. Ignore the hesitation. Live your truth in every moment. Be loud. Your tribe will find you.
