From the Director’s Desk
The term “graying of america” refers to the fact that the American population is steadily becoming more dominated by older people. In other words, the median age of Americans is going up. It's important that chiropractors are offering services that enhance the quality of life of these patients, not only through chiropractic, but in other forms that may exist. Read the interview with Dr. Enix, on what the research is showing regarding falls and balance problems, back pain, and chiropractic or physical therapy, when treating patients in this demographic.
Also this issue, Dr. Mark Studin, and Dr. Bill Owens present their findings related to the injury commonly referred to as a sprain/ strain injury, in the article titled, “Strain/Sprain is One Syndrome” beginning on page 26.
Mailed along with this issue is The Chiropractic Assistant, for your CA, office administrator, and assistants continuing development, so be sure that your important team members get their magazine too. Look us up online as well at: digital.theamericanchiropractor.com
