Happy Summer Time, Chiropractic Assistants!

It's an awesome time of the year to learn and grow to make yourself all the best that you can be!

This is a wonderful time to be in your position as is described in "The Broadening of Chiropractic and its Effect on Paraprofessionals." On page 6, Dr. Cole Hosenfeld clearly explains how the chiropractic assistant's role is now changing and expanding just as the chiropractic profession progresses! This is an amazing time to be in your field, because you can become so advanced in so many different areas of chiropractic... from seeing and tending to patients, assisting them in their nutritional needs, to documentation and possibly even assisting with x-rays and radiologic treatment.

In nutrition, Dr. Keith Giaquinto emphasizes the need to encourage your patients to eat more organically and minimize the consumption of GMO foods, as well as get regular adjustments to strengthen your digestion and immune system with food enzyme supplements. Read his article, “GMOs and Food Allergies" on page 4.

Next, on page 8, Dr. Kevin Wong, a specialist for low back pain, demonstrates how important foot care is when incorporated in correcting your patients' back pain, which can be supported by the use of orthotics, and can also be another revenue source for your doctor's office.

Finally, on page 10, Nancy Singleton offers some great ideas to keep in touch with your current patients in order to build a relationship so they continue to wantto see you and/or refer you in "Five Simple Ways to Stay in Touch with Your Patients!" Nancy describes the best way to increase business is with your current customers, and she offers some great tips for this by just staying in contact!

Please share this issue of The Chiropractic Assistant with the other CAs in your office, and let us know on Facebook @TheChiroAssistant, which articles are your favorites, and how this magazine helps your daily work and/or your chiropractor's practice!

Until Next Issue!
