Appetite & Weight Control with Homeopathy

A lmost everyone, during the course of his/ her life has experienced frustration and disappointment in dealing with weight management. Commonly, within a few weeks of the New Year's resolution, most people have fallen victim to their appetites and given up the good cause. Neither patient nor doctor is immune to the battle of the bulge. The enormity of this problem has manifested a potpourri of products in the market place. These products, whether drug or natural, can cither carry serious side effects, not address the underlying problems, or just plain not work well. After 25 years of doctoring patients with weiaht uain, I have discov- cred some key core answers to this perplexing problem. Homeopathy & Chiropractic Homeopathy has provided me with a number of answers to weight gain that have proven quite corrective. Like chiropractic, homeopathy works to activate our body's natural innate ability to express optimal health. Home- opathy, with its serial dilutions and successions beyond the molecular levels, works—not bio-chemically, but bio-ener-getically—upon the nervous system, to activate proper healthy functions of the body. Like chiropractic, homeopathy ac-tually corrects nerve interferences throughout our bodies. More importantly, homeopathy corrects aberrant nerve reflex anomalies throughout the whole nervous system, in places the hands of the chiropractor cannot reach. There are many underlying causes of excess weight residing in both body and soul. Homeopathy has proven itself to effectively address these underlying issues. Throughout homcopathy's 200 years of clinical use, numerous controlled studies, called "provings", have been performed on each of its over 1300 ingredients. These studies have been performed on healthy groups of humans, by giving them a substance, and observing whether it creates any abnormal responses. Any abnormal responses, whether in the body, mind, will or emotions, was, then, accurately recorded in detailed reference books, called materiu medicos and repertories. Then, these substances were given to sick people demonstrating similar symptomatic pat- terns, and observations made concerning any cure that clinically confirmed the efficacy of the homeopathic remedy. At first glance, homeopathy may seem to treat symptomatically. However, quite the opposite is true. The human body is intimately connected with its environ- ment. Substances that can cause a pattern of symptoms in a healthy person can activate a cure of that pattern of symptoms, in a sick person, when those substances arc homcopathically potentiated. This is done, not by suppressing symptoms like an allopathic drug, but by expressing the healing powers resident within us to heal. Listen to Your Symptoms Symptoms arc simply the body's innate communicating to us in a detailed and specific language. Homeopathy has unlocked the code to the body's innate language of symptoms, so that we can better help enhance our health, rather than suppress its expression. Symptoms are simply the messengers, not the disease. Suppressing the symptom is like shooting the messenger because we didn't like the message. Now, with this basic understanding of homeopathy, we can better understand how homeopathy can work, deeper within, to correct the deeper issues behind weight gain. Homeopathic ingredients and their recorded actions upon the human being can empower us, as Doctors of Chiropractic, to better address the nerve interferences throughout the whole person, including body, mind, will and emotions. Homeopathy works to bring balance to the appetite centers of the brain. This action prevents overeating, both at meal times and during unnecessary cravings between meals. Homeopathy also works to enhance slow metabolisms that can cause weight gain, along with those inherited constitutional or metabolic tendencies to gain weight. Another bcauti- fill thing about homeopathy is its safety, with no side effects and no known negative drug interactions. Not only can people on multiple drugs safely take ho-meopathies, but, also, children who are overweight can benefit. Being overweight not only affects the physical health of children, it also affects the self-esteem that can hold a child back from ever reaching his/her po- tential in life. Finding the Right Remedies The sublingual reflex response test is a great way to discover which remedies your patients need and don't need. Within about 5 seconds of placing the expected remedy under your patient's tongue, you will see a reflex response causing a significant change in your patient's leg length, as well as arm strength. This simple procedure is a quick and effective feedback tool. Before Meals Taking the homeopathic approximately 10 minutes before a meal will decrease the desire or habit of overeating. Many will notice the immediate response of naturally eating what is healthy or sufficient, without having to lick their plates clean or go back for seconds. For Cravings When cravings between meals arise and the Hiiagen-Dazs is speaking to you during your favorite TV show, immediately take an appropriate dose of homeopathic. Usually, within l-to-4 minutes from taking a dose, the unnecessary cravings or hunger feelings are gone.
